The Anthurium is a robust flower that your customers will be able to enjoy for a long time. But as always, a little bit of care and attention goes a long way.
For florists
Keep Anthuriums outside the cold store - they really don't like the cold. The risk of blue discoloration increases at temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.
Handle them with care and be careful not to bruise them. If they get bruised they will gradually go black.
Regardless of how they are packaged, use a sharp knife to trim five centimetres from the end of the stem diagonally. Then immediately pop the flower into a bucket or a clean vase.
Although Anthuriums don't need cut flower food they can tolerate it. So it is fine to add cut flower food to mixed bouquets.
